Normal hat size is 7 3/8. Ordered 7. Was too small. Ordered 7 1/4, is about right. Both hats come with a woven vinyl cover, but the underlying framework pokes through in the front, putting what my wife calls "pimples" on the front of the cover. I'll need to insert some card stock or something to prevent that. A thicker cover material might not telegraph the underlying framework so badly, but I don't know for sure.
